An outstanding trio with saxophones/vocals (me), Keyboard/vocals (Duncan Cooper) and drums (James MacKenzie).  Rooted in Hammond Organ-style Swing, Funk and Standards, we play everything from Jimmy Smith to Sinatra/Martin!! plus some R&B and Soul.

We also have an array of great vocalists that can be added, if required, plus we can  expand the band’s size to add horns, guitar, etc.

We have an ongoing successful five-week rotation house gig at The Mill in Brockville.  Check the listing on this page.

Join us ar The Mill in Brockville April 8, 2016.  Downbeat 6:30

Ice-No-Slice has added a new format: James MacKenzie on keys, Myself on saxes and vocals, and the delightful Nora Peterson , vocalist.  We can be seen at the English Pub in Gananoque February 13, 2016, and the Cove in Westport on March 4, 2016.  More details to follow.

I now play with  Trenton, ON Show-“Variety”,   an all-event show production.  With 3 to 4 horns, it is able to perform many different venues in three formats: “Variety” that plays everything from Swing Standards to R&R, “Canada Rocks”, a tribute to Canadian R&R stars, and “Power Connection”, specializing in Earth Wind & Fire, Blood Sweat & Tears. Tower Of Power. Chicago, and all the other high-power funk horn bands. Manned by a group of “Ol’ Road Dawgs” like me, it is a highly-disciplined, extremely musical experience and a whole lotta fun, that I’m proud to be with.
